Cryptal Darkness é uma banda australiana de doom metal.
Biografia[editar]
Cryptal Darkness começou como uma banda de grind e death metal, mas mais tarde mudaram para doom metal. Inicialmente a banda era formada por Mark Kelson, O'Neil Alexander, Geoff Kloprogge e Jade Von Nagy. Em 1996 lançam o primeiro álbum Endless Tears.
Em 1997 participaram no Brain festival. No ano seguinte a banda dedicou-se a preparar novos materiais.
O guitarrista da banda Paramaecium, Chris Burton substituiu temporariamente Luke Wong e acabou por se juntar à banda como baixista, em 98. Também nessa altura Martin Powell entra na banda.
Nos finais de 2000 a banda andou pela Europa em tour. Mark Kelson juntou-se também à banda Paramaecium e O´Neil Alexander à banda Vomitorial Corpulence.
Em 2003 a banda separou-se. Kelson e Burton criaram a banda The Eternal.
