Edain McCoy
Carol M. Taylor,[1] mais conhecida como Edain McCoy (South Bend, 11 de agosto de 1957 - Indianapolis, 21 de março de 2019),[2] foi uma escritora neopagã e sacerdotisa de Brigid estadunidense.[3]
Tradição mágica[editar]
McCoy afirmava ter se autoiniciado como bruxa em 1981, participando em seguida da comunidade neopagã após uma iniciação formal em um coven de San Antonio.[2]
Em 2006, McCoy investigou locais mal-assombrados na Argentina. Em 2008, tornou-se Mestra Reiki da linhagem Usui-Rand.[2]
Carreira como escritora[editar]
Desde a primeira publicação em 1990, Edain McCoy escreveu mais de 20 livros, principalmente sobre bruxaria, neopaganismo e tradição céltica. Seus livros foram traduzidos para o espanhol e para o português, formando um público na América Latina.[2] McCoy também contribuiu com artigos para revistas da área, como Fate, Circle e Enlightenments.[2][3]
Outras atividades[editar]
McCoy estudou em Lynchburg College, na cidade de mesmo nome, mais tarde formando-se em História na Universidade do Texas e obtendo o título de Mestre em Belas Artes em 2012, pela Butler University.[3] Além de escritora e tradutora, McCoy atuou como professora substituta, consultora financeira e corretora de bolsa.[2]
