Woody Dines Out é o 14º curta de desenho animado da série Woody Woodpecker. Seu título no Brasil é "O Pica-Pau Come Fora".
Lançado no cinema em 1 de abril de 1945, o filme foi produzido pela Walter Lantz Productions e distribuído pela Universal Pictures. É o curta final do período de guerra do Pica-Pau lançado um mês antes do DIa da Vitória na Europa e 4 meses antes do VJ Day.
Pica-Pau anda pela cidade e percebe que todos os restaurantes estão fechados. Ele encontra uma loja com uma placa na vitrine que diz: "Enchemos pássaros". Ele entende que é um restaurante quando na verdade é uma loja de taxidermistas. Ele se aproxima do balcão para fazer seu pedido. Do bolso do paletó, o taxidermista, um gato antropomórfico (voz de Hans Conried), remove um anúncio do Museu de História Natural anunciando uma recompensa de US $ 100.000 por um pica-pau grande empalhado. Ele secretamente coloca gotas de nocaute nos alimentos que prepara para Pica-Pau. A comida coloca Pica-Pau para dormir, mas ele se recupera na mesa de corte. Ele escapa do taxidermista subindo em um elevador; o taxidermista cai do poço do elevador até o porão, onde abandona sua ambição de US $ 100.000.

- A "Marcha Funeral" de Frédéric Chopin pode ser ouvida na partitura de fundo, quando o taxidermista coloca as gotas de nocaute na comida de Pica-Pau.
- O taxidermista refere-se à sopa de Pica-Pau como "blackout borscht". Na época do lançamento de Woody Dines Out, apagões eram comuns entre as regiões costeiras dos Estados Unidos. Borscht é um prato russo e a União Soviética era membro das Potências Aliadas na época.
- Enquanto Woody pilota o elevador para velocidades cada vez mais rápidas, o velocímetro diz: Essa viagem é realmente necessária? Esta é uma referência ao racionamento do exército de gasolina e borracha para o esforço de guerra.
